No high idle
My vehicle it's a 2006 E350 with the 6.0. I've noticed that it hasn't gone into high idle this year. The temperature has dropped into the teens, so I know it should do it. I've heard that it could be either the engine oil temperature sensor or the ambient temperature sensor. Are they hard to get to in a van? Should I just pay to get them replaced instead of trying it myself? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don you have any way to monitor live data? One of the common ones are the scan guage 2. This way you could see the data to determine what sensors are reporting back to the PCM. Some scanners can read live data as well by usually no the cheaper ones.
