starting problems

starting problems

My powerstroke7.3 won't start it jus cranks over but if I pull start it then it fires right up however its one qt low on oil could this be my problem

1 quart low won't make a difference in starting. What will make a difference is if your batteries are not strong, along with the connections, glow plug system, and your starter. These trucks require a lot of juice to start. Load test your batteries to check their condition.

starting problems

Well I haven't tested the batteries but it cranks over strong I cranked quite a few times n the battery didn't seem to be low on juice

I have same issue. Usually starts if above 15 degrees, but need block heater plugged in otherwise. Suspect bad glow plug(s)

That is 15 degrees celcius. I have had this issue in tje past and it turned out to be glow plugs

I had it plugged in still no start unless like I said if I pull start it

How about your battery connections and cables. Connections and posts need to be shiny clean, and the battery cables can corrode inside the vinyl covering. A failing starter can also be a power drain. If you are able to start it by pulling it, there's something draining the needed amps to start it with your key.
