what to pack?

I will be taking my '03 crew cab 6.0 PS w/automatic and 4wd on a trip from Colorado to California and back soon. The truck has 125k on the odometer, It runs great and the hoses and the serpentine belt looks O.K. to me. All fluids are up and recently changed. I want to know what you guys would take for spare parts and tools for any emergency, side of the road repairs. I am thinking upper and lower radiator hoses and a new serpentine belt and a box of fuses. What would you add to this list, knowing the likely items to give trouble on our trucks. Thanks for your advice! john DD

Pair of pliers, big screwdriver, hammer, duct Tape, WD40, and a AAA card.

Oops, almost forgot. A wire coat hanger.

Money for when you get to Cali the Diesel is pricey, 1 good filling in Phoenix is QT off 10 freeway to 57freeway and Thomas rd the Others are Flying J 10 Blythe depends on witch way you go. and 395 Tehachapi about mid Mountain flying J ( NOT the one at krammers corner) seems to have the best price. and some Safeway's have great deals. make sure you have plenty of Fuel Additive never know what or who is in those weird station's tanks.
