2002 F250 super duty 4x4 psd 7.3 181000 miles wont shift into 3rd gear. was fine then it wasn't. Drives good in first and second gear, then it seems like third gears goes to just over 3200 rpm and 50 mph. and then falls on its face. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

However, this is a common symptom....direct clutch failure due to worn lip seals from age and excessive debris build up in the seals (friction material, etc.)
