Free 215 engine

I have an extra 215 engine in parts that is free to a good home. I think I have the entire engine in parts minus the timing cover, water pump, carburetor, and air cleaner. This is a car engine so the crank pulley is a single belt. The block has been bored to 223 standard and is worn, but ran cool when it was in my sedan. The exhaust manifold is the later 223 type but is in good condition. The engine is completely disassembled except the head.

It is to the point the floor space it is taking up is more valuable to me than the parts. If someone can use this stuff, it is free. I don't want to separate anything and I'm not interested in shipping this stuff. PM or email me and we can make arrangements for pickup.

The engine is located north of Seguin Texas. It is about an hour drive from San Antonio or Austin assuming I-10 or I-35 aren't gridlocked.

Moderators, I know selling is not allowed in the forums. I think giving stuff away is ok. Please let me know if I mis-interpreted the rules.

Is there no one in Texas who is interested in these parts?

You HAVE to pull the manifolds off before you decide to scrap it! (when the word "scrap" comes about people usually JUMP!)

I'm interested, but I live 2000 miles away, so there's not much that I can do. I need a valve cover for my 215. My 215 currently has a 223 cover....the oil filler is in a different position from the 215. If you reconsider selling any of it off in parts, I'd like to talk to you about that cover, among other parts.

I thought the oil fill location in the valve cover was a car vs truck difference. The valve cover with the disassembled engine has the oil fill hole about 2/3 the way back. I picked up another valve cover with the oil fill at the front before I got the second complete engine. If I can find both valve covers I will PM you.

Thanks. The oil filler cap location may be a truck / car thing. The shop manual shows the filler on the truck's 215 at that 2/3 back location. On the valve cover I have on my truck right now, the cap is at the front.
