Small engine parts interchange
I am in need of a crankshaft for a Tecumseh engine. Does anyone know of a site where I can enter the crankshaft part number and have it give me all Tecumseh engines that used it? I found one by dumb luck (I'm actually waiting to hear back about one I found on Craigslist) I also have a auto junkyard that also has a section devoted to small engines and would love to go thru and find something there as well.

I have had good luck with questions of this sort at Tractor Forum : MyTractorForum.Com Tractor Forums. Although, they have been less than helpful in figuring out what my Craftsman tractor actually is (aside from a possible mutt).

I agree that MTF is pretty good.
There's another place called precise engine repair. As the name implies, they're strictly small engine.

If you register there, read the instructions carefully. It's not hard, but the guy that runs it throws in a little trick -- he must have had a problem at one time.
