Way cool. I just picked up my '54, at the beginning of the month, after it's been stored away for the past 30 years in dad's basement. Mine's pretty dang rusty, but I'm gonna get it back on the road and have a little fun with it, before tearing into the body.

Thanks very much. I'm remembering just how much I enjoyed doing this. Haven't had an undertaking like this since the early 80s.

Same here with my ornate truck...at least for down here in the "toe nail" of Texas! lol
I plan on this summer to place a SBF 289/C4 combo in "The HULK" with a 9" rearend.
Are you planning on re-installing your motor and trans?

Thats cool !! The 460 and C-6 are not going back in. Looking hard at 365hp 302 and an OD transmission. Also looking at re-gearing the original 9" from 397 to 331 (that is if I can find the parts. Know anyone looking for a 460 and C-6 send them my way. Oh .... The engine was running when I pulled it and had no problems with the tranny.

Cool beans! I bet you could sell the 460/C6 combo here or on Craigslist.

No 9" rear was ever original in a 54, 9" didn't come out until 1957. 1954 F100 came with a Spicer Dana 44
3.97, 3.31 are not available 9" ratios???

Not too many pictures .... But, all the wiring is out, nothing left in the cab other than the defroster vents. Decided on a 351W and an AOD. Transmission is being built and should be delivered in 3 weeks. More to come !!
