I just put the chip in today. I will say I like the firmness of the shifts but the power is lacking. I had a edge 15001 on the truck before and in the highest setting I had more power or may I say more get up and go than the hydra in 140 extreme. I think I was expecting a little better than the old edge. any thoughts?

The guy who wires tunes for PHP, started at Edge and did their tuning way back in the day when this was all invented, so don't think you have worse tunes now.
Edge may be using an old trick to increase seat of the pants feelings by increasing throttle responsiveness. This is commonly done so that the pcm interprets (for example) 30% throttle as 60% throttle.
Also the tunes you have could just be less pundgent.
Uh.... The 100 HP and 140 HP tunes usually have fine print on the page, stating that you won't see gains like that on a dyno without mechanical modifications to the truck - like bigger injectors and turbo. What happens if you select a mellower tune - one that doesn't ask for about 130% of the injector capacity?
Wasn't looking for double, but I thought maybe a little better than the edge on tune 3
Well, since the Evolution's "Level 3" horsepower rating is 100 on a SuperDuty and the maximum amount of additional power you'll ever get out of stock injectors is likely to be only 80-100 horsepower........

I wouldn't call it an "old trick". It still exists today.
