Just Updated Edge Programmer

Somehow I haven't been able to adjust my custom program lately on the edge programmer that I purchased in June. I ended up updating my Evolution via the internet with the latest beta version, and here is what I noticed...

Oversensitive throttle in parking lot situations is much better.
Throtttle has a more linear and instantaneous feeling.
The clunk/shudder in overdrive when transitioning from none to light throttle seems to be gone.
Overall, the driveability is very nice.

I agree. I had the clunking too. It kinda felt like it ws trying to down shift or something. The update helped me too.

I like the edge but my friend had a Trans AM and he went with a diablo. Has anyone heard anything or tried one? What kind of results did you get?

I have to say...Any other tuner has been hard to sell since the Evolution came out. They are going to be releasing the same thing for the Dodge and Chevy gas trucks in the next couple months (so they say). So, I will most likely end up with a bunch of tuners for those trucks collecting dust too. They have been a very good product, very reliable. The total package makes them hard to beat.

Just my 2 cents.

you keep saying "they", but I'm not sure if you're referring to egde or diablo. Can you be more specific about who has the "total package" and who has been "reliable"?

oh ok thank you. I'm pretty sure edge is really good, but I don't really think programmers do THAT much. I know its a noticeable improvement and all, but a mounting pod for it and even 10 extra horsepower (over the diablo) isn't worth and extra 200 dollars in my book. I just want it to respond better and I'm pretty sure diablo can do that. I am just looking for some feedback on the diablo

Since when is the Edge 200$ more then the Diablo??? If that is what you are saying. I bought My edge New for 325$ From Mr Discount Powerparts. I doubt you will find a diablo "New" or even used for that fact for 125$.

And considering all of the extra guages monitors and alarms you get with it...I think it is well worth the extra cash ...But thats My opinion.

All you had to do was a search for Edge Evolution and you would have more information than you could read in 2 days! It is the best overall tuner on the market and I have seen improvements here on this board and on others of a 21RWHP gain with the Edge. If Diablo can do everything the Edge can I would have considered it, but it is nowhere close. I bought mine for the extra tow power + all the gauges that it has on it. I like to monitor important things like trans temp and oil temp while towing along with volts and turbine speed of the trans. Towing is hard enough on the truck but having some way to monitor it is nice. I got mine form discountpowerparts also! Fast shipping and the best prices!

To contact us is as easy as calling the number displayed on the website:
724-462-3669

Or by emailing us via the contact us link on the left side of the online store.

The evolution does tune the engine and the tranny, as well as monitor everything you ever wanted to know on the truck, and displays upto 4 gauge parameters at one time. You cal also asign custom alarm points for temps as well as speed so that you dont overheat the tranny or get a speeding ticket while racing a Cheby!

To see the EEF-2400 in detail you can visit Edge at www.EdgeProducts.com or visit our online store by going directly to the EEF-2400 at http://discountpowerparts.com/catalo...?products_id=7

As always we have a fixed price on all orders at $9.95 and we ship same day on all orders placed before 5PM Eastern time. If you order just a tuner, or a tuner, exhaust, and intake you know that the shipping is going to be exactly 9.95 every time.

You didn't have any other problems with the BETA version? I just did an update on mine. I did not want to install the BETA version because of uncertainty of the Beta version..... Discount power... any input from your end? Since I did upgrade I noticed the throttle is even more responsive. I could tell that just by sitting in the garage and gassing it!I am running version 18. I can't wait until I can get out and really try it out. It'll be soon, I got to bring my sons GF home in a while. It's gonna be a fast ride home!

HeHe - don't scare the poor girl My wife does'nt even like to ride in my truck anymore because of the aggresive exhaust (and my heavy right foot). I don't keep my edge plugged in - just wondered how do I tell what version I have? I last updated it back in the summer I think.
