04 ranger check engine light wires?
I have a 04 ranger, when i bought the truck the check engine light was removed from the computer. Dose anyone know where they might have cut or unhooked it. The truck has a 4.0 and a bad misfire and need the light on to see whats wrong!

The scan tool uses the cigar lighter fuse for power, so if it's blown the scan tool won't work. If the CEL won't light up for its self check it's likely burned out, or been removed. As has been suggested, scan & post All trouble code Number clues found.
