Idiots Guide to Replacing Your Door Locks
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I will try to use as little as possible.

First, locate the tab that holds the door locks in and remove it.
Remove the old lock with--as I call it--the actuator.
New door lock vs. old one. I got the new one as part of a set from C&G Ford parts. It came with a set of door locks, ignition cylinder and two keys for around $50.
A close up of the actuator and spring that holds it in.
I reused my actuator as it didn't come with the new set by pulling up on the spring holding it in...
...and pushing the pillar out through the slot in the end of the lock.
Reversing the process allowed for the actuator to be reused.
Now for the fun stuff: To re-install, make sure your lock is in the unlocked position (key hole vertical) and insert the end of the actuator in the square hole NOT THE ROUND ONE. There was some play in my actuator so I had to fiddle around with it until the lock fit flush with the door panel.
Now for the tricky part: see those black square gaps between the door panel and the lock? Position your new clip so they are in those gaps. This will take a few tries as (at least in my case) the clip liked to ride up the lock.
push the clip in until your half way, and then push/pull the tab towards the cab to push it in the rest of the way. Congrats! you have new door locks.
Again, even through this is an easy process, I figured I would post a step by step as someone out there somewhere has got to be asking themselves how to do it, whether they should do it, for reference,
