Is it possible to put split shot AB injectors in a truck that came factory with single shot AS injectors without having to change anything? The reason I am asking is because I can get a set of rebuilt AB's for a great price and I know they are 120 cc and the AA's are only 90 cc so could I use them for a bigger injector instead of buying a set of built AA's?
Set of stage 1's from rosewood are 1235 dollars. they are 160cc single shot, just installed a set about a month ago and they run great. I know it didn't answer your question but im pretty sure you will run into IDM/PCM problems putting in split shots.
I have a ts6 chip would that work to run them? Some one told me earlier that I wouldn't need any custom tuning but that my hpop would not supply them. That kind of contradict s the fact that it will support at age 1 160 or 180 cc injectors.
You need tuning for split shots to run those injectors in a truck programed for single shots. A TS Chip would work fine IF it has the proper tuning. What tunes are on it?
It just has canned tunes on it now but I am wanting to get it reprogrammed anyways. So would using the AD's and having my chip reprogrammed be similar to running built AA single shots with custom tunes? What tunes would I need for the split shots
120cc injectors are small. I doubt you'll notice much difference between them and the 90cc singles, assuming the 90cc's are in good working order. As for the tunes, call the tuner who you got the chip from and tell them the truck you have and the injectors you are putting in it. Your HPOP should be OK, but in low settings on the chip. Split shot injectors need a lot more oil than single shots. And the HPOP in the OBS trucks is smaller than the ones installed in the Super Duty trucks.

To answer your question, yes, you can drop them in and go. No changes to anything needed. The truck will run fine. No PCM or IDM issues.
I would not expect a huge power increase, though, it's nothing like adding Stage-1's and a chip.
If you have a TS chip, you can send it to your tuner of choice and they can add tunes to allow you to get a performance increase, but again it's nothing like what you would see with Stage-1's.
If you need injectors, and the AB are cheap, go for it.
