Thanks, Lance. So, you have the complete Banks system plus the Flowmaster (FM) 40 muffler? Seems we have the same setup, except that I have the FM Super 44. If it's not the Banks Y-pipe that causes the drone it must be the muffler...

Do you have a drone? If yes, all the time or only at a certain speed range?

I think it's the muffler. We're eventually going to put the 70 on ours. I emailed a Flowmaster rep. He said the 70 is the best at eliminating the drone.

Here's my Thrush muffler with Hedman Hedders. Pretty quiet in cab during cruising speeds but sounds great during hard acceleration. Have not tried towing.

Mid range power is definitely improved.
