Radio Blues

My radio will not restart when you restart the truck...I have to **** it off and then turn it back on......anyone have a fix for that dilemma?.....Thanx

Have you removed the cables off the battery for 5 minutes to reset the system?

^^^See if that describes your issue. Mine does the same thing intermittently, but a couple quick presses of the power button and it comes right to life.

Pulling the cables is not the answer. Hitting the master reset is not the answer.


Perhaps a reflash of the sync may help. I will be taking mine in to speak to them about it.


Challenge is if they can reflash the sync and only that. I would not want anything else touched as that usually results in lower fuel ecomony.

Sounds like mine.....it does it every time and hitting the power button off and on and it's good to go again.....might try the battery disconnect with head lights on ......sounds funky to me, but so is the radio not coming on...........Oh Well!....You'd think ford would do a recall for the fix.....

Mine did that for the first 3 or 4 months after I got it then it magically fixed itself literally overnight. Go figure...

Had the exact same problem in my '14 F350.......had the dealer flash the radio and it's worked fine since.

I just updated the MF Touch but it hasn't helped the problem.
