Rear End Compatibility

Rear End Compatibility
So I hit a large pot hole and bent the rear axle housing!
My mechanic thought it was just the axle at first.
I need the entire rear end. Housing, axle, differential, third member, etc.
Does anyone know what years would be compatible?
Parts warehouse sales guys are not very helpful.
It is a Ford 9". The door tag axle code is "08"

08 = Ford 9" Rear Axle / 3.50-1 / No Limited Slip / 3,300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity
1965/67 F100, is a direct swap, common ratios are 3.25 & 3.50. 1961/64 will also fit, but most have 3.70, 3.89 & 4.11 ratios.
1968/72's have different rear brakes than 1961/67's. 1973/79's have wider rear frames rails behind the cab than 1961/72's, so the housing is different.
Note: If your truck has a two piece driveshaft, it uses different u-joints than with a one piece driveshaft.
The companion flange on the rear axle is different, so if you buy another rear axle, you may have to swap the companion flange.

Bonus!
The '68 - '72 rear brakes are wider than '67 and earlier, and are the same on F-100/150s up to '79. If you can get a complete '68 - '72 rear axle, it will upgrade your rear brakes, and is properly paired with disc brakes, if you ever plan to do that upgrade.
It does make a difference in stopping power.
Even if the ratio you find isn't what you want, you can install your current 9" third member or pumpkin in the replacement axle, provided the spline count on the axle shafts is the same. (Unless the third member was damaged somehow which seems unusual??? They are pretty strong.)
