I from Michigan and I'm heading home tomorrow, for a four day hunting trip.


I thought I'd stop in the Michigan FTE page and see how the Michigan FTE deer hunters are faring so far this year.


Looks like a pretty good weekend might be shaping up!

Just coming into the rut up here from what I can see.

Where are you hunting?

 

Up near Cadillac...

 

Property up there or state land. I've hunted up that way for years for gun season, now I go to the UP.

We hunted over by Tippy dam, and also did a couple years at Udell hills. Both are west of Cadillac, closer to Wellston. I miss being able to shoot over to Dublin store for jerky..

 

Private if I had more time I'd do some bird and small game of the state land. I just don't have the time anymore.

 

quiet, still, and boring as always i assume. haha.

weekend weather has been good for you deer waiters though... we've only had one good weekend day of ducky weather, and really got into them.



looks like another weekend of sun coming up.

 

Rich has plenty of cool pictures from his blind. There just isn't any deer around.

 

Yesterday was beautiful weather. ..but no deer close enough to fill a tag. ..I got some pictures of a grouse though!

I have a nice 8 point lurking around the property, but he is only on my camera around 3:30-4:30 in the morning. I would say every 3-4 days. Hoping that he can come out late some morning as the rut progresses.....

 

Where the hell is Pat when you need him? This thread is obviously titled wrong, and should be, "How's The Beer Hunting?"

 

Well my four day trip is over. Packing the truck right now to head back south. It was wonderful weather right up til this morning. I was able to fill a tag and so was my dad...sooooooo good to see him back in the woods this year!
