I have never used that brand. I recommend removing your door panels and saturate the inside of the door esp around the edge seams. Get underneath and anywhere you can get into your rockers and can corners. And body plugs that you can remove and install. Get it in any and all orifices as possible. Reach as far up inside the wheel wells of the bed and saturate them as well. When you start with a good clean new truck that is the time so go the extra mile and make sure you protect your investment the best you can. Don't forget all the nooks and crannies of the frame as well. I like the wax based coating because they last for a very long time some car manufactures now use the wax but VW, Audi, Mercedes have used them for 20 years or better.
I've been using Fluid film on our two new trucks since they were new. The one has seen two winters and the frame and underside still shine like new. Everyone I've talked to that uses it says it works great.
I purchased with the kit a 36" flexable wand that sprays 360 degrees for the tight spots. The kit also comes with 10 or 12 1/2 inch plugs to plug any holes you may want to drill.
I haven't used that brand either(i use used motor oil), but everyone on here that uses it says it works great. Anything that you do to stop rust is a good thing.
I could never bring myself to put used oil on my new truck, messy. Heck it still takes me twice as long to wash the truck, frame , leaf springs, shocks coiil springs, wheel well, you get the picture.

It's actually not too messy. Sprays on the same as fluid film, most of the oil gets washed off after the first time you drive it in the rain and you are left with a thin layer that acts like wax to repel water. Nothing against fluid film, as it is a great product, I just prefer a different method
