6.7 Coolant Filter Questions

Anyone running a coolant filter on 2011+ 6.7s? I ask because I owned a 6.0 and still have the Sinister filer and trying to see if I could use it on my new 6.7. I'm sure it’s not as necessary as the 6.0 needing one but worth a try if it helps longevity of my new truck. Any Pics out there of anyone that has done this?

I used to run one on my 6.0, never put one on my 6.7. No doubt it would do some good, but you also do not hear about the plugged egr coolers like you did on the 6.0's either.

changed my radiator a month ago and found grit in the buckets of drained coolant. i decided put a coolant filter on with the new radiator heres a link to the installed pictures if your interested didn't cost a lot i recommend making the kit yourself like i did and save a few bucks

The 6.7L has two totally seperate cooling loops. A high temp loop and a low temp loop. If you do put a filter system in, make sure it's a setup specifically designed with the 6.7L in mind. Here's an article about it:
