v8 and v10 same exhaust layout?

Found this a few weeks back and the guy still has it. He just keeps re-listing it and I keep seeing it. Since I need to slow down and just chill for a bit could I snag this and bolt it up? Might give me enough powah to make me feel like I have a 6.0 for a few weeks

If it was "so good" he would have kept it.

Says in the ad it wasn't loud enough for him, so he strait piped it.

If I remember right the gas engines used the same exhaust, so you would be good to go.

I just want it a bit louder. I have the Y-pipe already done and it sounds pretty good and I know the 1-2 HP isn't going to do anything but I would like to get a little something to cheer me up, plus it's something I can look forward to installing myself in a few weeks when I'm more mobile

I got the one from the place that does the bundle with the SCT tuner and had my local shop install it. Those are the best mods out there, wakes up the X like crazy! I did the pipe for a few days before the tuner and yes, huge difference.

Also talked to the retard with the exhaust... turns out it's just a muffler, not a cat-back. He says summit sold it to him as a vehicle specific weld-on muffler... I call shenanigans.

Only a muffler, wow seems expensive.

I was going to say before a muffler swap on yours could give it the desired sound. Albeit minimal performance gain but a nice rumble.

I know for a fact a 5.4L sounds mean with dual strait pipes.(cats still on due to after cat O2). I put duals on my Dads old 2001 F150, sounded nice, but a bit loud pulling trailers. Lol

I think I'll just leave it OEM for now. My only reason for considering it was I wouldn't mind a full bolt-on kit, but I'm not welding together some straight pipes and lowering the value of my truck. A name brand kit would add value (of sorts) to the truck. Muffler shop weld in not so much.
