I have owned my 01 superduty since new and now at least two dashlights are out. Are they replaceable and if so how do you get to them? Its the ones on the right side for the tach. Thanks
Yes, You need to pull the radio out first and then disconnect wires for pass side air bag if you have one, cig lighter, and head light plug. Do not try and remove the headlight switch from front you will break it. Pull the dash panel out of the way and undo the gauge cluster (I believe 4 or 5 T15 screws) and replace bulbs pretty simple.
With the bulbs I recommend getting them from Napa/autozone whatever just not ford cause they try and sell you the little plug that twist onto the cluster. Ford wanted 15 bucks or so for each light where you can get them elsewhere for 2 bucks. Once you have the bulb out you can take some pliers and pull the bulb from the plug and push the new bulb on. wipe bulb clean with rag so no oily finger prints are on it or you could be doing it again.
