FYI- I watched the volts drop to 10.8 when trying to start
Yeah that's warm enough then. Was that 10.8 while cranking, or 10.8 with glow plugs on? What was your batteries volts before any of that?

If your IPR is jumping up to 84 IPR most likely needs STC fitting done and dummy plugs if it wont start when warm. Common problem on that truck.

10.8 V is definitely too low - even when cranking w/ the glow plugs on.

I'll be getting the batteries load tested this morning. My gut is telling me those or the Alt as stated before.

IPR is at 14.8 KOEO
Now jumping right to 84 upon cranking when hot
Maybe it is the STC

I also think its in my best interest to get some mods done asap

Coolant Filter
STC/dummy plugs
Blue spring

Here's where I'm at

When running this morning volts was at 13.7- tells me the ALT is ok

Load tested both batteries.
They are Ford Motorcraft dated 9/13 and both tested better than the label on battery

Looks like its gonna be a STC/dummy plug job

Since they are gonna have to fix that, I think I'll talk to them about getting the EGR delete done at the same time. I'd rather only have the top end pulled off once if I can

Have you checked the temp spread for the oil cooler? Thats a common issue and its right by the STC and would be easy to do. Just a thought

Yes, the temp spread is around 8

Dropped it off to them today. They are gonna have to send it out to there diesel guy that works on all there 6.0's

I'll be in close contact with there mechanic. If they are going to be into it that far I want the EGR delete done as well.

Heard back from the dealer today. There diesel mechanic that is 45 min's north said the problem is the dummy plugs on the oil rail and claims it to be a 5 hour job.
I was kinda hoping it would be the STC, that way I could get the EGR delete at the same time.

Also got my coolant filter kit today VIA UPS, so that's gonna be my weekend project
