Door Seals
I apologize if this issue has been addressed before.
I have 23000kms on my 2014 Superduty and it is incredibly dirty (dusty) inside. It was a work truck until I aquired another truck so I could save miles and wear/tear on my pride and joy. In any case, it was puzzling me how it got so filthy in so little time when by accident one day I noticed that the bottom seals on the front doors were 3/8ths of an inch away from the body of the truck. The doors close tight and don't rattle, but the seals were no where near touching. The rears were nearly as bad. The door above the seal is a muddy and dusty mess as well, an obvious sign that water and mud has been getting past the seal. The dealer replaced the seals without question, and while they're a little better than before, the new seals still don't touch the body. The chap at the dealer was going to look at all the SD's on the lot to see if they're all the same. I'm wondering if you boys/girls here could look at your trucks the next time you're getting in and see if you have the same issue. If you open the rear doors and look to the bottom of the front doors is how I seen it...
I drive 9 miles of gravel to get to pavement... My wife just detailed the truck, and it won't be very long before its a mess again if there isn't a good fix for these seals...
Thanks all for your thought and eyes...
