1972 Speedometer Drive Gear
Hello All
Have 1965 F100 and have installed 1972 C6 transmission (bolt yoke), issue is when it was rebuilt, there was no drive gear (a spacer was put in until I can find one).
Need drive gear #7 for 1972 C6 Bolt yoke transmission, the gear is appr 7/8" wide and 1 1/7" in diam.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks Alan

Speedo DRIVE gear located on the output shaft, speedo DRIVEN gear located at the end of the cable where it fits into the trans.
1972 F100/350 C6: There are 5 different 7 tooth DRIVE gears, some are steel, some are nylon...as it depends on the series, axle ratio and tire size.
But, are you sure the C6 is from a 1972?
1973 and later: There is no separate DRIVE gear, as it's made as part of the output shaft.

Bill, thanks for the feed back. On the drive gear, on the year of the transmission, can't say for certain on it being 1972
. Do know, it is a C6, with bolt yoke end and the drive gear will be steel #7.
