I have a 88 F-150 with a 4.9l thats bored .060 ovr. Last summer i replaced the head and injectors and ever since ive had nothing but problems. Ive replaced the map sensor 3 times, the tps 2 times and the coolant temperature Sensor once. The issue tat im having as of this morning, i started the truck to let it warm up and it run for about 5 min and shut off. I went back outside and restarted it and went to leave and it did it to me again with high idle so i pulled the code and got 22 which is map/baro but im fairly certain that its not the map sensor. But im wondering if its not the cam sensor or something like that in the distributor. If anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate It.
With the age of your truck I'd suspect wiring issues or a bad computer when you get codes that won't go away after changing sensors, so I'd suggest you remove the PCM, test the wires to the MAP for continuity, and if that checks out OK take the cover off the PCM and look for obvious signs of deterioration like blown/leaking capacitors.

Where is the pcm i cant find it in my hanes manual
For your model year it comes out from inside the cab.
The problem that im having now is a high idle issue so i unplugged the iac valve and that slowed it down just unsure which sensor is really causing me the trouble
Pull the PCM out. Inspect the board for bulging, leaking capacitors. As Conanski pointed, if you get same problems after replacing sensors with known good ones, it can be a symptom of failing PCM. If you catch it early on, you can repair easily yourself. With the age of the PCM, I would do it just to rule it out.

Code 22.....start there. Verify the signal output and wiring back to the computer.
