I scanned my 96 ps auto today and got a P1705 code what sensor is that

 

p1705 TRS TR sensor out of self test range Not in PARK during KOEO or KOER Operator error, circuit failure, faulty sensor, PCM


could be your truck wasn't in park while pulling codes, or the tranny gear selector sensor is bad, or wiring issues

 

it was in park during the test. if that sensor is bad what kind of things would it do.

 

I don't really know. I do know that a few peopel who have a loping idle have replaced it and fix the lope. other than that never heard of anybody having issues with them.
