According to cars.com black book, your trucks trade in value is around $35,500. This is what you should expect to get if its in excellent condition. I traded a 2011 XLT last year with 28,000 miles on it and got around the same price.

 

I would recommend going to CARMAX and get a written offer. Then leverage that with the dealer. Sit down, work the numbers. If they lowball the trade, tell them you will leave. Or better yet, CARMAX may offer you a killer price.

 

Carmax sucks these days, they have been way cheaper on their buy offers the last few years.

I got a MUCH better buy offer from one of the other car buying companies, down here Texas Auto Buyers was almost $3000 higher than carmax when I sold my Mustang GT.
