Guys, I came across 2 1963 F850 Fire trucks in a local junkyard yesterday. Both trucks were in very nice shape with less than 17,000 miles on each one. I removed a perfect 3 spoke steering wheel and horn ring from one, two sets of perfect wiper arms, two Big Job hood scoops and a chrome Signal Stat 900 blinker switch. Also scored perfect interior door handles and window cranks. My question has to do with the hood trim from these trucks. I removed the front hood emblems (one had a lightning bolt the other had a V8), the Ford 850 emblems (plastic 850 was illegible but chrome was perfect) and a pair of "Super Duty" emblems (perfect chrome but one stud was broke off). Are these worth much? I see that they repop the Ford emblems and hood ornaments but I don't think they repop the Super Duty emblems. Any idea on value? Also, one truck had the Unity spot light in perfect shape and the red lights were still on the roof also. I thought about going back to grab those items also if they are worth anything. Bill, what engine would have been available in these trucks? It looks big but doesn't appear to be a Y- block. Thanks, Jim
