Working on a 1964 F-100. I have removed the key switch and removed the old bezel that rotates when the key is turned. The new bezel does not rotate when held in place. I cannot get the ignition switch to rotate and latch when I push from the back. Am I doing something wrong or is my repo bezel not quite to spec?

This bezel has two notches, one is larger than the other. The switch has small & large pins that the notches fit onto.

Make sure you have the bezel positioned correctly. The new bezel will be a tight fit, it may be necessary to use a round file to remove excess chrome plating from the notches.

Bezel is 11584 in pic. The spring comes with ignition switch (11572), notice the spacer (10A885) between the ignition switch and the backside of the dash.

When the switch is removed, the spacer will fall off onto the floor.
