Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I have an '83 F100 that the wipers stopped working a couple weeks ago. The washer works, but not the wiper. I replaced the switch hoping that would be the problem, but it wasn't. I bought a new motor and plugged it in instead of out right replacing, and it didn't work either. So it sounds like wires to me. The switch is getting power since the pump works. I am looking for any suggestions. Thanks!

TWO different switches, with or without intermittent (delay) wipers.
If your truck has intermittent wipers, it also has an intermittent wiper governor.
The right and left wiper arms connect to the motor w/a clip (17531). If the clip breaks or falls off, the arms may be disconnected from the motor.
Thanks for all the information! Just to close the loop, I replaced the wiper motor over the weekend. The old one was dead. I had forgotten to ground the new motor after plugging it in to verify that it worked. As soon as I added a ground the motor turned over. The hardest part of this project was getting the cowl off so that I could access the motor and the wiper linkage. I've got to paint some areas that got scratched while removing the cowl, but that is why I used an enamel paint. The wipers now work like a champ! Thanks for the assistance.
