8.8 probs
ok here we go...i have an 02 ford f-150 v-6 4x4 with the 8.8 lsd rear end, well i sheared some teeth off of the spider gears so i got the parts to fix and went about getting them out and the center pin retaining bolt was broken? its half thread and half a pin and the threads sheared off, i tried drilling into it so i can pull it out but it pushed it further back so now its wayyyyy back and i cant get to it, ive tried the drill bit, magnet, sledge to shear the pin off, and a 2 jaw general purpose puller and to no avail i need help quick!!

You have to remove both axles to get the entire diff out. It will take a complete re adjustment afterwards too. Or keep track of the shims as you remove them. Put them back exactly as you took them out. You are going to have to completely clean in there anyway to remove all the metal shavings in the pumpkin.

allright well i think im going to go the route of getting a newly used rearend from lkq its about 300 bucks but my truck got hit from some assjack with dump trailer door so thatll pretty much pay for it appreciate the help thanks!
