yup. the LCF ( Low Cab Forward) was a light cab chassis truck made from 2006 to 2009.
basically put, the 4.5 V6 is a 6.0 with 2 cylinders removed.
it was also only used in the LCF.

We have 2 of them at our warehouse. They are turds. Zero power and problematic.

the local redbull distributor here has 40 or 50 of them they run all over the tri state area.
they love them for their tight turning radius and handling. but they also only have 10 foot boxes on them.
almost all have over 250,000 basically trouble free miles on them.
the first few had turbo failures, and a couple needed the computers re-flashed.
i had been waiting for it to happen, i think it would have been a winning proposition, even with the problems the 4.5 had.
No, it wouldn't.
The F-150, being an under 8500 GVWR truck, has much stricter emission standards than the LCF. When Navistar gave us an engine calibration that would meet the emissions laws the 0-60 time went to 22 seconds. With the go pedal on the floor I couldn't keep up with traffic. It was horrible.
