You also forgot the DEF tank that hang's below the frame well behind the passenger front tire for everyone to see. Looks hideous...
Agree that is awful, even with the benefit of a larger fuel tank.
I'd be tolerant of most any cosmetic compromise if Ford could convince me it was a step forward in function. New cab needs to be more than pretty, and needs to work, 1st gen, without 600 bugs.
I'd like to see a bigger cab...... Toyota's Tundra's cabs are bigger then my Super Dutys....F150s cabs are bigger then my cab....Mega Cab is bigger then my cab. I guess if I would say that I would like to see is just a BIGGER cab. I would say based on seeing all of the manufacturers, we have the smallest "full size cab" out of all of them. I mean why in the hell is the F150 cab bigger then the F250 or F350?????
I really like the idea of an aluminum truck. No more body rust issues to chase after. We will see what the 2016 brings to this truck. They do have some work to do in order to quit being slammed for having an "old" cab design.
Aluminum corrodes big time in a salt environment........
The Navy aircraft require a bunch of corrosion control maintenance. Salt air....
Even the P-3's that fly over the ocean but don't live on the carriers require special care.

Aluminum is not a cure-all.
X2 on everything Roy said....
Frankly I don't see this so much as a means to control corrosion as much as I see the aluminum body and other components as a means to reduce weight and increase fuel economy..
Also on corrosion remediation on aluminum sheet metal - it is much more difficult to get under control than is steel. Anodizing will help, but scratches in the anodizing will start to corrode almost immediately.

Agree. If Toyota or Nissan had 1/2 ton diesels available now it would be a tougher choice.
