Adding Powerscope Mirrors?

I just picked up my 2017 F350 XLT Friday night and after spending most of the day installing accessories I noticed that my truck did not have the powerscope mirrors that I ordered. I still have the email from the dealer showing the dealer order form (I think its called a DORA) with powerscope mirrors on the list but they are definitely not on the truck. Has anyone installed these after the fact? I am wondering if the wiring is in place and I would be able to just get the correct mirrors and plug them in? I know I would also need the correct mirror control switch. I also know these mirrors are crazy expensive to buy after the fact but if I ordered the truck with power mirrors and ford messed up the order it seems like its their problem to fix it! I also ordered remote start and the truck doesn't have that either! I don't care so much about missing the remote start because I can add that pretty easily with aftermarket but it's extremely frustrating!!

Are you sure you got the truck you ordered?

More importantly, did you pay for the items you didn't get? If so, it's up to the dealer to make it right. Compare the window sticker to your DORA.

That would be the first thing I would look into for sure!

Yes its the truck I ordered because it was a special paint color of School bus yellow, we ordered 5 of them in various configurations and mine was the only one with this cab and interior configuration. And the answer to the second question is no. The options are on the DORA but not on the window sticker for some reason. Frustrating!

I'm sure.
Perhaps the paper you have is a VOC vs. the DORA? Difference is what is submitted by dealer vs what was accepted by Ford.
I'm sorry this isn't helping you get answers on how to add mirrors but if I'm not mistaken on forum etiquette....YOU OWE PICS!!! Technically you posted one of the trucks that showed up but were still waiting yours

Sorry I didn't add any pictures on this post but I did post a few pictures a few weeks ago when it showed up at the dealership. I'll take some fresh ones later today. Search for my last post labeled "Just Showed up Yellow!" For some pics right away.

Minimal info here in this thread, just not enough people yet needing to do it on the 17's https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...d-mirrors.html
Here are a couple in the F150 section, expensive!

It's still waiting for auxiliary fuel tank and tool boxes but here you go. 6.2, 4.30 E-locking axel, XLT value package, extended running boards, #11500 GVWR, ESOF, Camper Package, Roof Clearance Lights, Upfitter Switches, Extra Heavy Duty Alternator, Dual Batteries, Tailgate Step, 40/console/40 front seat, Sync 3, School Bus Yellow!

AND NO REMOTE START OR POWERSCOPE MIRRORS! I know the remote start is available on these trucks because it is on one of the other trucks we ordered just somehow was missed on mine.

You caught me, but in my defense they are identical except for the front seats and running boards.

Awesome! It is sure bright, nice to see the different colors. I chose the dual batteries on my 6.2L as well. Did you have a better reason than mine, "can't hurt, why not"?

We are an excavating company doing a lot of road work so I have some LED flashing lights that run all day when I'm at work, I also have a CB radio so I can communicate with the equipment operators and truck drivers. Plus I have a 1500 watt power inverter running in the truck most of the day charging batteries. Ever since we switched to gas engines with only one battery it doesn't take very long to kill the battery when the engine isn't running! I even wired a battery in the box of my 2011 so I can jump start myself without digging in the tool box for jumper cables. I can't wait to get this truck set up so I can get out of my tired out 2011! The 2011 has been a good truck with no major repairs just wear and tear construction miles but it's getting tired at 192000 miles and 9980 engine hours! It's ready for retirement. (I'm getting off topic on my own post!)

Lol, you could change the title of the thread "My School Bus Yellow Super Duty and the curious case of the missing POWERSCOPE MIRRORS and REMOTE START and chit chat"
You definitely had a need for the extra battery!

Power fold and power telescope are inseparable options I believe. That would mean you need a new door switch panel that includes the telescope rocker switch and push-button fold switch. You would also need to have the correct wiring harness for the new switch panel to plug in to. Then...you would need to purchase the power telescoping and folding mirrors. These are likely to be very expensive...and still hope the wiring harnesses out to the mirrors are the same. If they are, maybe it is plug and play.

In the end, it is kind of a cool feature. I *never* have telescoped my mirrors in on any of my trucks, those with the manual telescope and those with the power. I have folded my mirrors in, from time to time, though.

Great fleet of trucks. I'm curious about your old 2011 with almost 200k. Can you elaborate what you mean by "tired?" Engine not feeling as string? Burning oil? Transmission issues? Just general tiredness as in clunky, squeaks, rattles, not smooth?

Update??

did op get anywhere with adding powerscope/fold mirrors after the fact. This is something that Ive been wanting to do to my 17 XLT. I have everything setup and ready to go but cannot find a parts guy worth a d@mn that can get me part numbers for the new door harness’s and possibly modules. I have the new master switch installed. I have the spotlight switch, accomodating trim bezel and mirror lighting module installed. I have part numbers for mirrors but not pulling that trigger until I have harness’s. After harness’s I will buy necessary adapters to use Forscan to turn it all on. Any help would be appreciated.
