Looking for some bolts

I'm wondering if anyone might know where I can get some bolts like this? I've searched Mcmaster-Carr, as well as visited Napa. No luck, of course I didn't know what I was looking for and the Napa guys need a make and model to find anything.

Any ideas where I can find bolts like these or what they are called? I'm looking to do something close to the BD Diesel CCV mod in hopes of clearing up oil usage.

It is very likely that someone will point you in the right direction, but if not---try calling a bolt supplier in a larger city close to you. Bolt suppliers are all over the country especially near oil producing regions and industrial regions. You can email or fax them your picture and size requirements.

Should be fairly easy for a local machine shop to make what you need, if you can't find them at supplier. Might also try Fastenal.

If I had to name it, I would call it a "male male threaded standoff", but when I search the net for that phrase, I can't find anything which looks like it. It almost looks like a "male spaced adapter", too, but that search also yields nothing helpful.

Once you find out what it's called, let us know.

I need two of them for a sample CCV mode I want to try. I searched all over Mcmaster Carr, but the threaded studs won't seal the dog house very good.

There is a local place in Tulsa I've found that will get a visit tomorrow to see if they have anything that will work...

What are you trying to bolt on there that you can't just use the original screws for the housing?

If you're set on doing this yourself, have you considered just using some all thread, a tapered washer, a nut, (and the o-ring of course)?

Out of curiosity, how much does BD want for the bolts?

BD sells the kit for $320. They don't sell just bolts. The goal is to keep it all tight and neat. All thread might work fine, but if I can find the bolts they are a cleaner option.

I don't think you're going to find the bolts. You can have them made, or make them yourself is my guess. I'd be willing to bet BD had those made for them.
