i just got a 53 f100 and i am pretty sure it was a flatbed although there isn't a bed on it. my question is how hard will it be to get the right flatbed for it? i am assuming it was a factory option? i will post pics when i figure that part out. thanks, george
The half ton flatbed isn't easy to find. I see you live in SD. You might check the yard in Mitchell or the one near Hartford. If you live further west there are a lot of yards north of Rapid City along I-90. Otherwise, I believe our friend Josh Madsen has one available in Salt Lake City. Stu

Stu how about the one I sent you the link to on craigslist, I'm not going that route
I figured $800 was about what I could have gotten it for, now I'm thinking $500-600
it would sure save me a bunch of time and money and I already have the shorty running boards...............
