try E-bay. I did a quick Google search for "1985 Ford Truck 5.0L Knock Sensor" and there were a lot of links to parts stores - but I didn't take any further.

Should be available from any auto parts store. I typed knock sensor into Google, got a gazillion auto parts store hits.
There's an Ford ID number stamped on the sensor (similar to this: E4TF-9F472-BA), taking the number or the sensor itself to an auto parts store will get you the correct one.
I cannot give you the exact Ford part number, because the only way to look the puppy up in Ford parts catalog is with the trucks specific Calibration Code.

It's EZ to find if you have the ID number from the original and a Ford truck parts catalog.
Parts catalog crosses the ID number to the Ford part number.
I'm sorry if I mis-spoke. Coming up with the correct part number is easy enough, but those part numbers have been out of production for years. What we are left with is the occasional bit of NOS stuff that makes it's way to E-Bay from time to time.

Gazillions of NOS obsolete parts are available from Ford dealers and obsolete parts vendors.
I've probably listed over 20,000 obsolete part numbers here on FTE, found quite a few of them NOS
The sample sensor ID number I listed in post #3: E4TF-9F472-BA crosses to Ford part number: E63Z-9F472-A (Motorcraft DY-573) / Obsolete
86 are available from FoMoCo dealers,31 from obsolete parts vendors (Green Sales Co. has the largest quantity: 13), and it's probably available from auto parts stores.
