Will this work?

I need to replace one of my backup sensor and the part number off the bad sensor is 4L14-15K859-AA. I've searched online and I can not find an exact match.

Would these part numbers work? 4F23-15K859-AA / 3F2Z-15K859-BA

These are the cheapest I could find online -- $36 shipped. Dealer wants $140.

That part number comes up in the Tousley Ford parts website. Price is $96 bucks.

Is the place you're looking at online selling the sensor as compatible with the part numbers you listed, or are they selling it as an OEM sensor with that part number assigned to it?

The listing did not specify if it's compatible. I emailed the seller -- waiting for a reply.

Seller said he could not locate the part number in his parts book but he mentioned the ones he is selling is for my 04 excursion. He said if it does not work, it free to send it back and a full refund. So I might consider it.

I'm sure it will, since the sensor is the same one Ford has used across all platforms, all years.

My question pertained to whether or not it was an OEM Ford sensor or an aftermarket one.

Per ad it mentioned genuine ford part. I will verify.

Man, if that's OEM and brand new, snap it up.

Per seller it's OEM. I placed my order. Will update once installed. Thanks for the help.

Do your back up sensors work in the rain? I know when I back out of the drive on a sunny day the sensors work fine, they do not seem to sound when it is raining or has just rained and the X is wet?

I sorta remember (been a while) when the sensors are wet that they kinda act a little goofy. I dont exactly remember how they behaved but it was not normal.

Supposed to rain here tomorrow pretty good guess it's time for an experiment. Even after it has stopped raining if the X is wet(just stopped raining 5 minutes ago) they will not sound unless the X has pretty much dried off.
