cig lighter wiring ?

No wires on my cigarette lighter/phone charger port, on my 79 f one hunnert. I've got the yellow plug behind the glove box for power feed.
do I run a wire from that yellow plug to center terminal on lighter body. then a wire from spade terminal on the side to ground? or vise versa? the center terminal isint a spade terminal its a round male term bout an 8th" across.

Cheers

Yes that 3 plug should be hot (have pwr) all the time for the glove box light and the lighter. Look for 1 male plug wire (green/yellow?) with a 90 female plug for the back stud tip of the lighter.

No need to ground it, it gets grounded thru the installation of the lighter body in the dash.

Open the PDF and scroll down to the bottom to the Glove Compartment Lamp and see plug # 14401, that's the yellow plug.
