From what I understand the engine brackets are the same from69/79 f100 302,
75/79 f150 302, 77/79 f100-f350 351m/400 2wd. Yours being a 68, maybe someone in the 67-72 could be more of a help. Is yours 2wd or 4wd?
Thanks for the pics. 6028 and 6029 . Looks like they are the same for 6cyl, 302, 351M and 400. Funny no mention of the 351W but it's the same as the 302.
My 68 is getting 77 pwr steering box and discs and a 351W so I need different mounts.
I had no luck at the wreckers this morning. Only 2 dents in the whole place and both had the motors still in them (and no plan to pull them).

There were a number of different towers for the '65-'79 2 wheel drive trucks and they were "modified" by Ford as time progressed. However, they will all fit nicely in three groups, and all fit all the above years with minimal work, like drilling a hole or two in the cross member.
The 6 cylinder and the FE towers will interchange, though they use different mounting holes in the cross member. There are differences in some of the later driver side FE towers to allow for clearance around a power steering box. You will need to use the appropriate "motor mount".
302, 351m/400 towers will interchange as well. These towers will also work with the 351w and the 351c engines. The 302, 351w and the 351c use one motor mount while the 351m/400 use a different one.
The 460 (and 429) tower assembly is by itself and use their own mounts. These might require drilling a couple holes in the cross member, depending on the year of the truck.
There have been a number of discussions here about this in the past. In one thread, Number Dummy posted pages from the parts books giving the parts numbers for each mount, thereby allowing us to see what fit what by comparing the numbers. Check out the Search function for this info.

It's not to hard to remove the perches while the engine is still in. I found a 2x4 long enough to stick under the pan and out in front of the bumper, then I removed to motor mount nut, then removed the bolts holding the perch in while a friend pushed on the end of the 2x4. I figured it was going to be hard but I think we had them out in less than a half hour. Mine came out of a bump side by the way. I'm using 302 ones for my 351w conversation.
