I had an AeroSkin hood protector on my 6.4 that worked very well. It doesn't stick up and protects the hood, in the very front, from rocks and other debris. It just sticks to the hood and doesn't come off as it is laying flat. Here is a pic of a chrome one on a 6.7.

Yeah, that looks pretty much like what I had in smoke. They just can't seem to get the tape to stick to the hood.
Ok, called the dealer and told them I am coming in again and want the deflector removed and give me a credit for parts or something. They said ok. I can't be running in there a couple times a week and spending two hours.
I installed a WeatherTech in less than 30 min. Got the floor mats and rain guards (or whatever they're called) from them also. IMHO they make nice stuff.
So, I took the truck back in again yesterday. The salesman wanted to show me a "different style deflector" to see if it was ok. We walk 1/4 mile to the truck lot to see another Super Duty with a hood deflector. He points it out and I tell him it is the same one I have. I take a quick look at it and I see about a 15 inch gap where the tape didn't stick and point it out to him. He throws up his hands and asks what they can do to make me happy. I tell remove the POS and fill my diesel tank. That is what we did.
