Hi gang -
So Ive seen in many posts that these trucks have the VIN stamped in the frame somewhere on pass side rail, near the shock tower? I have my front clip off and can't seem to find it unless its under / inside the frame rail near the shock? Anyone got a pic? Thanks -
Top of rail just aft of the shock tower. About six inches from the Square hole for the down under trucks clutch Z bar mount.
Garbz
Thats about where Ive been looking...scraped the frame with a razor to remove road grime and paint and I don't see anything. 4x4 / 2WD make any difference?
Here is a couple pics of mine, I have a 64 F350 2x4. From what i understand every person who was on the line stamping the frame rails had a different spot they liked to do it. Mine is lined up with just about the front of my starter on the 292 but could be anywhere in that location. It took me a while. I wire brushed my frame to find it.
Thanks everyone - I found it thanks to all your help and a few PM's with Schoo...seems on the 64F250 4x4 its stamped directly in line with the generator / timing cover on the 292 V8 - forward of the shock tower...!! Again many thanks -
