Well, I put a good fuel pump on and it didn't solve the problem. Looked at the MAP sensor and hose and they were dry as a bone. Now I notice, however, that you said the MAP "nipple," which I assume is a fitting that screws into the intake. I'll take that off and see what it looks like.
Dang, wish I had my scanner adaptor already.
Based on all the gunk that came out of the old fuel pump and regulator, and the original symptom of bad injectors, just keep thinking it's fuel related. But, I guess that gunk could have gotten in the engine and plugged up a sensor as well.
Yes where it screws into the intake. They can plug up from soot.
I believe both DashBoss and torque pro have the capability to spade both a fuel pressure sensor and an EGT sensor. That's what the OP plans to do. I agree, why they don't have these originally and why all the gauges are dummy gauges is beyond me. Even Chevy can go into digital mode and provide digital readings of all gauges on the dash cluster.
Powerstroke Fuel Tank Modification
here is some useful Info from bill send him some reps on this I don't know why I was thinking the sock was in our tanks but there is a filter that will clog as you will see in the pics if enough rust chunks or Bad Bio mix . really need to gauge test this on a load . let me know if I can help or Confuse a little more

Thanks. How does one "send reps"? I bought a gauge today and ran around looking for an adapter fitting with no luck. Will order one online tomorrow. Has anyone tried that aftermarket metal fuel filter cap with the built-in fuel gauge port? Looks easier to work with coming out the top like that than using the regulator port. I assume it would give the same reading?
Also blew out the fuel lines from the HFCM to the tank - didn't seem restricted, I could hear a lot of bubbles out of the filler tube. Will blow them out from the regulator back to the HFCM tomorrow, but based on how much fuel flows to the secondary filter when you take the filter out and turn on the key (as I was doing the bubble test), they don't seem to be clogged either.
