Question A/C clutch cycle

I read the other post and need something cleared up. I had my 1990 Bronco converted to R134a and the compressor does not cycle anymore. Is this normal? Before it was converted the compressor cycled regularly. The low side pressure is 45, I don't know the high side pressure.

A/C clutch cycle

The clutch only cycles if the pressure gets low (because there's not enough heat left in the air passing the evaporator) or because there's a leak. That keeps it from ever pulling air INTO the system.

It may be that there are leaves blocking your evaporator or some problem with the system, but the lack of cycling isn't necessarily a problem in itself.

You can pull the blower motor & reach in here to feel if there are leaves. If there are, pull the evaporator cover as shown (you won't be opening the refrigerant system so don't worry) and hose it out.
