F 250 engine knock

F 250 engine knock
I have a 2002 F 250 Lariat that has some engine knock when I start it up. It continues to knock until it warms up. Not really sure what to do to get the knock to go away. Do I need an engine rebuild / swap, or is there something I can do on my own to get it to go away?
I'm not that experienced with engines, but I'm a fast learner and know how to spin a wrench.
