have a 2000 F150 4x4 used for plowing and PATS activated all by itself this spring. Am asking if PATS can be disabled any way Have read on here that dealer can but they say NO. Is there any i can do it myself or a bypass i can purchase to do so. Have been checking things off & on all summer. Now its time to think seriously cause snow is just around the corner. Need help please.
that is the exact reason I chose the SCT over other tuner units. being stationed overseas I could not get keys coded (Japan ford sucks donkey kongs family jewels.)
when I bought the truck it had one original key, and a wlmart/kmart cloned key.
without a second original I could not reprogram keys or fobs, so when I reserached and ordered the SCT I specifically asked if it could bypass that POS PATS system, 5 star tuning was like no problems and since then I can use any key that twill work in the ignition cloned or other wise, while I cannot reprogram key fobs, or new keys to operate without the sct program being loaded, its not a worry as I will keep the sct and then sell it with the truck if I or when I ever sell it.
