Finally replacing the rag joint on the pickup but It's not as easy I figured of course. I took the two bolts out first and a chunk of the rubber fell out. Now I'm can't get the rest of the rubber/rag part out. Seems like these studds have to come out or the top part needs to slide up?
Not sure how to get the studds out, or what parts to loosen or take off next?
That is exactly what must be done, just one question though. Have you looked at your front cab mounts? This is the number one reason the rag joint fails. The front of the cab sinks and applies an uneven force on the rag joint.
Thanks yall. I finished up late saturday night. I did have to raise the steering column to get it off. Then I had to cut and grind the studds to pop them out. it was alot of fun, but I'm glad it's finished. Not sure about the cab mounts. I'll take a pic and see what you think.
