New to the forum and will gratefully accept any help or correction. My CHENG light is on, stays on and I have replaced plugs, wires, coils and still the codes say the problem is between #6 and number 8 cylinders. (its the 4.6 eng.) One mech suggested it might be the chip in the PCM. This raises several questions
1) Where is this PCM located? (I think passenger side under battery on firewall)
2) Do I need to replace the whole module or a specific chip in it
3) How difficult is this replacement
4) Recomendations for source of part
5) Suggestions as to what else it might be.
Thanks in advance for your help. Please let me know if there is additional info needed.
