I've just hung 1992 doors on my 1980 F100. Can anyone tell me how replacement exterior anti-rattle weatherstrip would be attached? Are there metal clips like the originals? Can you use an adhesive? Ay advise is appreciated.

 

The outer ones use metal clips that fit into slots in the door.

The inner ones are originally stapled to the door panel, I use pop rivets to reattach new ones
