What size is a engine with L as the code

Hi guy im looking at purchasing a enconoline with the engine code on the Vin number with the letter L. And I cant find what size it is any help would be appreciated

US/Canada:

L = 1980/87 7.5L (460) 4V / 1980: 4th digit of the 11 digit VIN / 1981/87: 8th digit of the 17 digit VIN / 460 has 7 valve cover bolts per side.

L = 1997/ 5.4L (330) SOHC V8 / 8th digit of the 17 digit VIN

NOTE: If the Econoline was sold new "Down Under" these VIN engine codes may not be the same...as the ANZAC VIN's are different than US/Canadian VIN's.
