I've got a 2000 F350 srw 4x4 that seems to be having some transmission problems. In drive it doesn't want to move from a stop until it reaches about 1500 rpms. The fluid doesn't smell bad and its bright red. I have no codes that I can read. Also the truck has over 300,000 miles. Is there anything I can do to test it or look for a specific problem?

Are you feeling any drag that may be causing you raise the stall rpm? Or, does it feel more like a slip?
It doesn't appear to be any drag. Every now and then it acts normal but most seems to act like it's slipping when I try to take off. There are no other shifting problems with it though. I do have an edge programmer on the truck if that makes any difference.
It is extremely noticeable now when its cold, it sits for 3-4 days up to a week without moving now. Its still there when its warmed up but It doesn't get very warm often now.
It could possibly be a loose Forward feed bolt. When the Center Support housing wears, it moves within the transmission case and the feed bolts loosen. It usually shows up when cold and improves somewhat then expansion of the metal parts help to seal them as it warms up. When the bolts get loose enough, Forward pressure will be lost and severe slippage will occur.
To access the bolts I have to drop the valve bodies, and torque the bolts to 144 inch pounds correct?
That would be correct. You can also remove the bolts, clean & dry the threads with some brake cleaner, and apply some blue Loctite to them. Worth a try.
